I’m a strategist, researcher, and organizational thinker who is most useful when the situation is complex, the path forward is unclear, and the usual answers no longer quite fit.
My work has centered on helping leaders understand what is changing, identify the assumptions shaping a problem, and make better-informed decisions about what to do next. I bring together research, systems thinking, planning, communication, and strategic foresight to translate complexity into clearer decisions and practical paths forward.
Over the course of my career, I’ve worked across strategy, academic planning, organizational effectiveness, research, governance, program development, and change. Much of that work has involved questions that crossed traditional functional boundaries: how an organization should respond to emerging technology, how new programs should be evaluated and developed, how changing external conditions affect existing models, and how leaders can create enough shared understanding to move forward.
How I work
I tend to begin with questions rather than predetermined solutions.
- What are we actually trying to solve?
- What assumptions are built into the way the problem has been framed?
- What does the evidence tell us?
- Where are apparently separate issues connected?
- And what becomes possible if we look at the system differently?
I’m particularly interested in the point where strategy, organizational effectiveness, research, and change intersect. That includes the practical realities of implementation: communication, adoption, competing perspectives, institutional history, and the human tendency to hold onto structures that once made sense.

A little more about me
I’m intellectually curious by nature and drawn to ideas that help explain how people and organizations make sense of change. My interests range from futures thinking and organizational behavior to cognitive bias, creativity, AI, and the ways institutional assumptions become embedded over time.
I also write fiction, which may seem unrelated but probably isn’t. Both strategy and storytelling require paying attention to patterns, understanding different perspectives, and asking what might happen next.
